Coursera is one of the largest platforms for e-learning. Many reputed universities across the world like Duke, Illinois, Yale, John Hopkins, Michigan, HEC Paris, and even companies like Google, Intel, and IBM. On Friday, the platform has announced to help to skill up courses for those recently unemployed from any government agencies due to Coronavirus lockdown. Under its Workforce Recovery Initiative, Coursera is offering to over 3,800 courses in 400 different specializations. Certificates will be offered once you complete the course. But before that, for you to enroll, your respective government agency has to apply for this initiative. And upon access being granted, you as an unemployed can enroll in any of the courses to learn.
Wide Range Of Choices
The catalog of courses belongs to Google’s Cloud Architecture/ Engineering, IT Automation, IT Support, IBM’s z/OS Mainframe, etc. Apart from these, you can learn App development, Java, Digital Marketing, Business and Market Analysis, Cloud Computing, etc. Other courses as Self Management, Time Management, Communication, Business Writing, Teamwork skills, etc can be tried. Coursera said the goal of this initiative is to help those unemployed workers to develop the knowledge and skills to become re-employed. Governments of state, central, local should apply for this program before September 30th, 2020, and those who’ve enrolled for any course have time up to the end of 2020 to complete. Few US states like governments of Illinois, Arizona, and Oklahoma, and also governments of Colombia, Costa Rica, Greece, Malaysia, Panama, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan will be the first ones to enroll in this initiative.
